Here’s a sign that my brain is starting to turn into mush from working on a paper due this week:
I needed another word for “downtime” since that didn’t seem very professional, but the mediocre thesaurus in Microsoft Word didn’t offer any alternatives. So I went to thesaurus.com to get an answer. When I reached the website, what did I type into the search box?

Remember my question about downloading audio from a YouTube clip so that I could put it on my iPod? Well, with a little help from Yahoo Answers, I’ve managed to find a website that takes the audio from a YouTube clip and transforms it into a neat MP3 file.
And if you don’t think I immediately raced to download this onto my iPod, you don’t know me well enough. The problem was that I don’t have iTunes installed on my laptop, but that’s nothing a simple visit to their website won’t fix.
What’d I do while I waited for all these files to download and install? Why, I wrote this blog post, of course. I might be a procrastinator, but I’m an efficient procrastinator. And yes, it’s 2:15 AM as I type this.
In terms of procrastination before an exam week, having a few drinks on Friday night and passing out a bit past 1 AM followed by a Saturday where my main accomplishment was establishing a Twitter page for other people to control my status would rank right up there with my greateast work, wouldn’t it?
