It’s good to see that Dusty Baker is in mid-season form right out of the gate. It’s like he never left.
In a very Dusty-esque move, the Rockies have elected to keep an overrated speedster with no quantifiable baseball skill. This sounds like a team playing not to lose instead of playing to win. I can think of one guy the Rockies could have signed to be the fourth outfielder and everday pinch hitter instead of wasting a roster spot on a glorified pinch runner. You’re telling me that having him play half his games in Coors Field wouldn’t be intriguing?
