Last Minute Roster Cuts and Benchings

It’s good to see that Dusty Baker is in mid-season form right out of the gate. It’s like he never left.

In a very Dusty-esque move, the Rockies have elected to keep an overrated speedster with no quantifiable baseball skill. This sounds like a team playing not to lose instead of playing to win. I can think of one guy the Rockies could have signed to be the fourth outfielder and everday pinch hitter instead of wasting a roster spot on a glorified pinch runner. You’re telling me that having him play half his games in Coors Field wouldn’t be intriguing?

Congrats to Joe Torre on making the right move and ignoring Pierre’s contract. Andre Ethier definitely warrants a pickup in fantasy leagues.

Whoooooo!
